Student Login

1. Select Student as your role.
2. Enter your AUT username and password.
3. Click Sign in.

Evaluative or Mentor Lecturer Login

1. Select Evaluative Lecturer as your role.
2. Enter your Sonia username (em# or AUT username) and password (default = firstinitiallastname).
3. Click Sign in.

  Go to: Sonia → Forms > Form: Practicum Absence Form > Add > Edit > Submit

Practicum Absence & Special Leave Request (PAF)

Go to: Sonia → Forms > Form: Practicum Absence Form > Add > Edit > Submit

Use this form to report any practicum absence, including special leave circumstances, before your expected arrival time. You must also notify your Associate Teacher by phone or email before your expected arrival time.

Remember: 100% attendance is expected during practicum. All absences must be made up. If you are sick for three or more consecutive days, you must provide a medical certificate using the online form.

If you or your Associate Teacher are absent on the day of a planned Evaluative Lecturer visit, you must notify your Evaluative Lecturer.

MTL/PGDipTL – Primary Programme (Semester 1, 2026)

• EDPT802 Practicum 1: 20 Apr – 12 Jun 2026 (38 prac days)
  Practicum runs as one consecutive full-time block. No practicum: ANZAC Day (observed) 27 Apr, King's Birthday 1 Jun.

Bachelor of Education (Primary) – Semester 1, 2026

• EDPT502 (Practicum): 28 Apr – 15 May 2026 (14 prac days)
• EDPT603 (Practicum): 28 Apr – 22 May 2026 (19 prac days)
• EDPT704 (Practicum): 28 Apr – 29 May 2026 (24 prac days)

No practicum: ANZAC Day (observed) 27 Apr — note short-week impact on the first week of placement.
